Résumé
Following the death of anelderly mullah, an Iranian family set off on a journey to attend the funeral of the old man.  A city where is practised an original and little-known custom permitted under Isalmic law: the temporary marriage.  A relationship develops between the young and passionate Kazem, himself already engaged to another, and his sister-in-law, the widow Mariam. In a society where each individual's aspirations and actions are weighed downwith constraints, the couple's quest quickly becomes a perilous adventure.
